Based in Ōtautahi Christchurch and delivering nationwide, we take a practical, down‑to‑earth approach to signage. That means clear communication, thoughtful problem‑solving, and paying attention to the details that really matter.
Many of our clients have worked with us for years, and we don’t take that trust lightly - we earn it through careful attention to detail and making the process an easy one along the way.

Director
Keriana brings more than two decades of experience in the commercial signage industry, and a genuine passion for delivering work that’s both practical and thoughtfully executed.
She began her career in her early twenties as a commercial sign maker and has since worked across almost every facet of the industry, from hands‑on production through to project management, account management, and leading commercial sign teams.
That end‑to‑end experience means Keriana doesn’t just understand signage - she understands how it performs in the real world.
What sets her apart is her ability to take a client’s vision, however formed or unformed, and turn it into something tangible. A natural problem‑solver and strategic thinker, Keriana does the hard work behind the scenes, so her clients don’t have to.
Keriana values strong, genuine relationships with the people she works alongside. In fact, a group of clients once liked working together so much they started a Book Club - a small detail that says a lot about the partnerships built through Assignment.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find her in the garden tending her vegetable patch, or crafting dried floral arrangements from her own homegrown blooms. She is also currently deepening her knowledge of Te Reo Māori, reconnecting with her heritage and embracing the opportunity to strengthen her connection to Aotearoa’s language and culture.

Operations
Doug has been part of the Assignment story from day one, providing the solid foundation the business is built on. He oversees operations and business management, making sure everything runs smoothly and every detail is accounted for. He genuinely loves ticking those boxes.
What makes Doug particularly valuable is the unique experience he brings. Coming from a background of 16 years as a frontline clinician in public healthcare, he has a depth of knowledge in aged care and wayfinding signage that goes well beyond aesthetics. He understands how people navigate spaces, how signage can support dignity and independence, and what genuinely good design looks like in these environments - not just on paper, but in practice.
He loves getting into the nuts and bolts of a project and equally enjoys the banter and relationships that come with client work. Doug cares deeply about the customer experience and takes real pride in seeing projects come to life.
Originally from England - we won't hold that against him - when he's not keeping Assignment running like clockwork you'll find him out in the great outdoors, or seeking a few days of solitude in the high country. He also tolerates an ever-growing list of landscaping requests with remarkable grace.

Kylie Norgrove
Creative Lead
After completing her Bachelor of Design, Kylie spent several years in the design and print industry before moving into signage - where she’s now built more than 15 years of experience. She loves the variety the role brings, whether working with long‑standing clients or on something entirely new.
Kylie has worked on signage projects from concept through to print set‑up, manufacture, and installation. With a Level 4 Certificate in Sign Making, she understands how to create signage that not only looks great, but is practical, buildable, and fit for purpose in the real world.
Kylie enjoys the challenge of shaping ideas into thoughtful, practical design solutions that balance creativity with function. At Assignment, she values the collaborative nature of the team and enjoys working alongside others to achieve the best possible result.
Away from the screen, Kylie loves spending time with her family, heading off on adventures, and hosting playdates - usually with a houseful of happy chaos!

Junior Wellbeing Assistant
As a family, we are proud supporters of the Assistance Dogs New Zealand Trust, helping to raise puppies as part of their journey to becoming fully qualified Assistance Dogs.
Meet Zeus, our current ADNZT puppy in training. Like all future Assistance Dogs, he's spending his puppyhood learning good manners, building confidence, and experiencing as much of the world as possible before progressing to the next stage of his training.
So, whether you visit us or we come to you, don't be surprised if Zeus tags along to help brighten the day and practise his social skills.
We can't always promise there won't be a little slobber or fur involved - consider it a bonus.
